Stephanie Muzekari joined us as a volunteer and now assists with our FB page.

She holds an M.Ed. in Humane Education, a field that informs her approach to bridging Orthodox theology with advocacy for the sacredness of all life—and in particular, the animals.

Before starting her family, Stephanie worked on organic farms and helped lead a gardening and microenterprise project for underserved youth. Now an active parishioner, she leads the burial society at her home parish and is deeply committed to caring for people and all of God’s creation.

She lives in the United States, where she cultivates a vegetable garden and small home orchard for her family. Stephanie finds ongoing inspiration in the words of St. Isaac the Syrian, who calls for a “merciful heart” that is “on fire… for the birds, for the animals, and for all that exists.”
